The Association is known, called and addressed as the Ceramics Researchers Association of Nigeria (CeRAN) . Membership title is known as MCeRAN.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
a. To promote the advancement of Ceramic Technologyb. To organize seminars, conferences, workshops and exhibitions in order to expose members to news development in the field of Ceramics.
c. To cater for the welfare of all members of the association
d. To cooperate and or affiliate with other Ceramic research and development organizations worldwide
e. To promote and maintain cordial relationship amongst members
f. To coordinate between the government establishments on related matters for the development of Ceramics in Nigeria
g. To develop standard for Ceramic raw materials and products
h. To encourage other organizations to promote and patronize the use of made in Nigeria Ceramic products.
i. To encourage exchange of visits and ideas among Ceramists.
MEETINGS:
a. There shall be an Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association once every year during the National Conference.
b. There shall be a minimum of two (2) Executive meetings in a year. However, the President may call any emergency meeting as the need arises.
c. There shall be an exhibition, seminar, workshop and conference at least once in a year.
d. At the Annual General Meeting, the Secretary General and other Officers shall submit reports on the activities of the Association. In Particular, the Treasurer shall submit an account of the Association for the financial year during the Annual General Meeting.
The intending members must hold a professionally recognized degree. HND, ND, BA, BSc, NCE, Certificate, etc or must have been a practicing Ceramist. Those who have keen interest but are not trained as Ceramists shall also be accepted as Associate members.

ANSTRACT: Abstracts of not more than 250 words should reach the LOC on or before Friday 26th October, 2018, for inclusion in the book of abstracts.

The Editor invites original scholarly contributions in all aspects of Ceramic Studies. Manuscripts should be of reasonable length of 15 to 20 pages including references and notes.
All manuscripts should be typed and double spaced on 81/2 x 11 (A4) paper with at least 2cm margins on either side and at the top and bottom of every page and submitted in triplicate. Notes, excerpts and references should also be double-spaced, and should appear at the end of the manuscript.
Manuscripts should conform to the APA format for authors, editors and copywriters. Manuscripts will be submitted to readers in the field; it is therefore recommended that the cover pave having the title, the author’s name and address be independent of the article, which should carry only the title.
Contributors will receive two copies of ASHAKWU in which their article appears. If, however, additional copies are required, these must be paid for.
